A finance scholar with a doctorate, a title-holding queen with a stage, and an advocate whose mission stretches from classrooms to community kitchens across India.
My name is Dr. Ashvini Sundararaju. I was raised in India, in a home where education was treated as an inheritance , something to be honoured, deepened and passed on. That belief shaped every choice I have made since.
I hold a PhD in Finance, and have spent years in research, lecturing and mentoring students. The classroom taught me that confidence is not a personality , it is a practice. Numbers, theory and case studies trained me to think rigorously; teaching trained me to communicate.
In 2026 I was crowned Queen Coimbatore by Fashion Collective. The stage gave me something the lecture hall could not , a way to stand visibly, unapologetically, as a proud plus-size woman in a culture that still narrows its definition of beauty. Representation, I believe, is the quiet engine of change.
Beyond academia and pageantry, my work continues through speaking engagements, women's empowerment events, brand collaborations and community welfare , including food distribution and volunteer programs. My mission is simple: to inspire women to embrace their individuality, pursue education fearlessly and develop a confidence that comes from within.
